Diwali – Celebrating the Light

Modern feng shui is inclusive of all traditions and each year I am drawn to the Hindu holiday of Diwali.
Maybe that is because Diwali is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of
good over evil, and light over darkness.

The festival honors Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prayers are offered to her for a successful new year.
Diwali is all about filling your home with light
and letting go of the gloom and the darkness (sounds like good feng shui to me).

As we come to the end of a difficult year, and daylight wanes,
I wish us all the blessings of good health, abundance & the warmth of family and friends.Happy Diwali!
