I’ve recently been involved in a number of unique commercial projects. Each inspiring for their commitment to purpose (raison d’être), the people involved, and for the integrity of their design.
In each case, I worked with other professionals on interior design elements to optimize the feng shui and conductedclearing and blessing rituals to further enhance the site.
In my next few newsletters, I will share something about each of these businesses, starting this month with The Assemblage – a community of co-working, co-living, and social spaces in New York City, centered around consciousness, transformation, and interconnection.
I had the pleasure and honor of working with visionary architect and creative director Magdalena Sartori. We first met at The Assemblage on John St and more recently collaborated at her third location on Park Avenue South (the first Assemblage is in Nomad).
Magdalena says, “From its inception, The Assemblage was designed with the ethos ofcreating spaces where people could feel more connected to themselves, each other, Nature and to the space around them…. This space has been seeded with intention, mantras, biophilia elements and feng shui cures… The design process was all about listening to the space itself, its original blueprint, and to the values and intentions of The Assemblage as a community.”
Collaborating with Magdalena’s design ethos and my feng shui analysis, determined which of the 5 elements were needed to to balance and/or enhance each of the 12 floors at The Assemblage Park. The rituals we conducted, cleared aspects of the construction process and history of the building, as well as empowered the potent art installations. Flower offerings, sound, smoke, mantras, sacred powders and intentions were some of the things employed in these rituals.
My feeling upon entering The Assemblage, is that it breathes life into you and that breath is sustaining. When you are in NYC, arrange to take a tour of The Assemblage – it is an oasis in New York.
