Independence is a State of Mind
As we celebrate the anniversary of our country’s independence from a tyrant king, many of us are still living under oppression here and around the world. Without minimizing the conditions some live under, most of us reading this probably live in ‘prison’ of our own making.
In a recent feng shui class I discussed that the things closest to us have the greatest effect on us. So although we are under the influence of the cosmos, the earth, our country, state and neighborhood…it is our own home, body and mind that directly affects us the most. And in turn, those are the places that we can have the greatest influence for change.
Whatever our conditions, it is the mind that can imprison, or enable us to transcend those conditions. Meditation and feng shui transcendental adjustments can help us realize this truth.

let’s remember the source of our true independence.
